Tailing dam of RG Gold LLP

The specialists of the company Gidrokor Kazakhstan have begun the construction of a new tailings storage facility in the Akmola region for the largest gold mining company in Kazakhstan - RG Gold. This project worth 105 billion tenge includes, but is not limited to, the construction of all necessary infrastructure facilities, such as a tailings dump, a new shift camp, water supply and power lines.  Work has been underway since May 2021 and the total volume, upon completion of the project in 2022, will reach more than 1,200,000 square meters. The project is carried out according to the high requirements of the customer within the time limits set by contractual obligations. This tailings dump is carried out using an anti-filtration screen made of ATARFIL geomembrane without the use of protective layers, while providing 100% UV and frost resistance, as well as waterproofing of the entire structure. All works are controlled with the involvement of the international engineering company SRK Consulting. Currently, RG Gold produces more than 50,000 ounces of gold per year in the form of Dore alloy. Year after year, the company implements the latest advances in heap leaching technology to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
